We built Relyn to hold your word — not your data.

What Relyn stores

Every commitment you create — its title, notes, due date, priority, and any contact you attach to it — is stored locally on your device. None of it passes through a server we operate, because we don't operate one.

If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, that same data is mirrored through your personal iCloud account using Apple's key-value storage, so it can appear on your other signed-in devices. That data is governed by Apple's own privacy practices, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and never becomes visible to us at any point.

Camera & business card scanning

When you scan a business card, Relyn uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to read the text out of the photo you take. That processing happens entirely on your phone. The photo itself is never saved to your library, uploaded, or sent to us — it exists only for the moment it takes to pull a name, phone number, or email out of it.

Microphone & voice capture

Speaking a commitment instead of typing it uses Apple's on-device Speech framework to turn your voice into text. That audio is processed locally and is not retained or transmitted anywhere by Relyn.

Contacts

Attaching a contact to a commitment opens Apple's system contact picker. Relyn only ever receives the single contact you explicitly choose — it is never granted access to your full address book.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification system. No reminder content is sent through any external service to deliver it.

Siri, widgets & Apple Watch

Adding a commitment by voice through Siri, viewing one from the Home Screen widget, or checking your list on Apple Watch all read from the same on-device (and, if enabled, iCloud-synced) storage described above. None of these surfaces introduce a new destination for your data.

What we don't do

• We don't run analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that phone home with usage data.
• We don't show ads or share information with advertising networks.
• We don't require an account, email address, or sign-in of any kind.
• We don't sell, rent, or otherwise share your information — there is nothing on our end to share.

Children's privacy

Relyn is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — there is no collection mechanism to begin with.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Given how little Relyn does with data today, we don't expect that to happen often.
